iSCSI Testing

iSCSI is an Internet Protocol (IP)-based storage networking standard used to provide a transport mechanism for data storage devices. By carrying SCSI commands over IP networks, iSCSI allows companies to leverage existing infrastructure and administration expertise, lowering the cost of the storage area network (SAN) implementations, and providing an inexpensive alternative to FC-based SANs.

• Protocol-level Testing – In addition to command-level testing, Percept is able to test the iSCSI link at the protocol level. Using specialized tools, our experienced staff is able to simulate protocol errors and verify that systems are able to recognize and recover link-level exceptions as they occur. This type of testing allows Percept to exercise additional functionality not covered during the regular course of testing, that may have significant influence on the stability and robustness of the data subsystem.
